Wifi on the move

Commuter trains will have wifi by the end of the year. There's a trial run on a some Dublin Bus routes and according to the article, Bus Eireann buses are already wifi-enabled. LUAS will have wifi as well from 2013. Where did this all come from? I was ecstatic when I was able to charge my laptop on the train to/from Dublin, this is great news.
