Water and frying oil charges

Postby BigBadEvilCamper » Fri Oct 10, 2008 7:04 pm

I dunno if anyone else has heard abt this but they are apparentlly sticking in meters for frying oil and water for charges. Its expected to add about 12 grand onto a take aways operating charges. Anyone who's parents own a take away should be a bit concerned.

The meter for water charges have been there for a few years now down in Limerick for businesses. I don't know about the meters for frying oil, I'll go ping my brother down there. Thanks for letting us know.

Never heard of anything like that before.
The water meter has been around a long time.
In Limerick they recently installed new meters for water .

The oil one I think is probably just a myth.
That is impossible to regulate and its not like water which comes from local council. Frying oil is purchased from independant retailers and not council controled

Grease traps are to be put in by default nowadays, as the health inspector would ask about this first. Most takeaways and restaurants would have this done. At least they are not metered.
