Unfortunately I will be away in Hong Kong from the 12th for 2 weeks, so I will miss the event. If people are going, and are taking pics and/or videos, is it possible for you to post them in forum?

If you want to write about the event, and you want it in the IBC blog, let me know, I will give you access, or if you have access and have forgotten, let me know.

While I am away, I will try to check my email as often as I can. Oh, and Happy new year 2008, everybody!:)

(Also posted in IBC blog.)

Does anybody know what films are going to be shown at the Chinese Film Festival in the IFI?

The Chinese New Year website only mentions Still Life, to be shown on Feb 1st. But the festival apparently continues until the 7th.

There is no info on the IFI site either.

I'll answer my own question... They are going to show the same film every night for a week.

I'm not sure I would have called that a "Chinese Film Festival" but there you go :D

Welcome back! And do be sure to tell us what is new and cool in HK. Rather shamefully, I haven't been there for a few years :(

I hope at least we'll get a few HK/China films in the Dublin Film Festival. The programme will be released in the next day or two so I'll start a new thread on it then.

As well as the Dublin City Council's CNY website (thanks to aierlan for pointing that out), you can get the brochures in English and Chinese.
