Hello;
I'm breathing so i guess that i qualify as being still alive :lol: . I doubt Kay is turning into an undertaker as well :wink: . We're a fairly small community and have a lot of discussion boards so don't get glued to the one board. Kay would have more specifics on what's happening around here; but in her absence... let me the first to welcome you to the site :wink:

Well how about some more words regarding yourself? 8)

Hey... finally some peeps have joined. Welcome to IBC, thanks cous for welcoming on behalf of me. I check the board everyday, but always forget to hit save when I have something to reply! (what a silly excuse) :wink:

Yup, cous, your dad is grom HK, my parents are from HK. I was originally born in Cork, but moved to Limerick when I was a few days old. Working up here in Dublin.

I can speak Cantonese, understand Hakka (most folks speak both here, and oder folks speak Hakka). Would love to be fluent in reading and writing Chinese. Only know a little.

Your folks own businesses around here? Most of us are from restaurant backgrounds.. but 2nd generation peeps like us tend towards IT and anything else not restuarant related.

Well mary here's a bit more about me for you.

Vic was definetly accurate when she said we tended towards IT. I'm in 3'rd Year Computer Systems in University Of Limerick.

I'm 19 born in Limerick; and based in Limerick. Been to Dublin... not quite to my liking... even though it is much better outfitted for my theoratically career. Bit too crowded... noisy.. polluted.... Nothing against Dublin but if you grew up in the open expanses of outer Limerick you'd understand.

My parents tried to teach me a bit of Chinese... unfortunately languages were never my fortè...

As for my nick that's pretty much self explanatory... though what made me adopt it was that different friends, at different times, and at different locations referred to me with the nick. I may not be able to defeat an enemy physically but i always could destory them mentally :lol:

Heh... how else can I get folks to join.. BTW, I don't really talk to my cousins much, so this was a way to get my relations together from around Ireland (even around the world), sort of an added bonus. :wink:
But as I said.. spread the word... get many peeps as pos to join... Not many rules, just sensible posting I suppose, I am the moderator anyway. :wink:
The more the merrier, I want to know all the other overseas Chinese here, especially the IBCs.
I still wonder if I should leave my IBC biz cards at the Asian Market, not sure if Uncle P. appreciates it! :D
