Chinese Schools for Children

Postby bee » Wed Jun 29, 2011 10:07 am

I'm looking into chinese schools for my daughter in Dublin. Most of them seem to teach Mandarin only. Would anyone know of one that does cantonese as well? Would like one that did both as I'm currently speaking cantonese to her so think having her learn just mandarin might confuse her. BTW Is there a list of chinese kids schools on the forum somewhere?

Hi, sorry for slow response!

Cantonese is not as popular any more and schools were asked to teach Mandarin more. I know there's a Chinese school on Synge Street. I don't have a list of Chinese schools, I'll ask my friends who knows the whereabouts of these schools.

Btw, have you seen http://irishbornchinese.com/articles/20 ... -for-kids/? I know it's Mandarin, but it's coming to Dublin as well.
