Chinese Version of 'The Playboy of the Western World'

I writing to let you know about our upcoming production of 'The Playboy of the Western World' in the Project Arts Centre in Dublin. I would appreciate if you could circulate the info below to your members as I'm sure they would find it very interesting.

In Chinese and with an all Chinese cast `The Playboy of the Western World´ opened in China´s premier venue, The Beijing Oriental Pioneer Theatre, in March 2006. This exciting production is an innovative and unique event drawing on the counterpoints of an Irish story and contemporary urban Chinese culture. This version of Playboy has been transposed to a modern setting of a hairdresser´s and foot massage parlour in the old part of Beijing. The normal business of hairdressing takes place out front but there are other less mundane activities happening elsewhere on the premises.

Performed in Mandarin with English surtitles.
