I know it is bad but...

i didn't realise the government / leadership in Ireland was this bad... by chance i stumbled upon this.. http://www.ripoff.ie (no idea at all a site like this actually existed!)..

I love the country, culture and folklore.. but this country needs stronger blood in the leadership role ...pronto before things become irrevocably wrecked...

Bah.... Eircom are a prime example of the disasterous course we're on... a third price hike within the time of one year! This would be the only place on Earth that the government would:
(A) Let a private company monopolise the telecommunictions network
(B) Appoint a ComRegulator who gets bullied around by Eircom
(C) From A & B decide that we're an E-Hub

Needless to say i'm not entirely certain that Ireland is ready to take the EU crown... Though i will admit that i am slightly amused that one of our first duties is to sort out the actions to take against Germany and France for breaking the EU economy rules... considering that when we broke the rules some years ago that the bigger countries showed no mercy

How many of you think that the prophecised second coming of the Celtic Tiger will actually do us common folks any good? :?
One can never be too cautious...

Totally not suprise.

We all know that the boom (the so call celtic tiger) is well and and truely finished. But what happens when there is becoming huge unemployment, prices increasing, plus this new minimum wage coming into effect in Feb.

Yep more inflation, wage spirals, price increases and disgruntle citizens, and tourist.
The gov knows Ireland is a rip off but cover it up with phrases like
"the price comes with the added value and service." yeah right!!!

Was listening to "The Last Word" on today FM at 5pm.
They talked about Valentines night out is more expernsive in Cork City than London or Paris. Imagine that. So where is Dublin priced I wonder.

And what about the gov telling folks to shop around and not be ripped off while they are fining large stores for price fixing on lower prices as well (ok more so cos to help smaller businesses). But they are bein hypocritical and confusing everyone.
