Hello everybody!

Thought i'd do the decent thing and introduce myself :)

My names arkward to pronounce so I go by the name of Léon seeing as everybody from taxi drivers to airline staff keep calling me that! It's a mispronunciation on my real surname, Leung.

It's nice to see a community like this set up for people like us :)

Although my profile says I'm in Scotland (nice place! come visit ;)) I was born in Dublin and stayed there until I was 17, whereupon I came over here to study a engineering degree. Still here working on getting a PhD.. just turned 22 a few months ago!

So there you go, a brief overview of me :)

I return to Ireland to vist my parents every summer so I may get a chance to meet some of you guys in future :P

*waves*

Hi! :D

Thanks for the welcomes :)

I've been here in scotland so long i've picked up some of the Aberdonian accent! The people up here can tell straight away though that i'm from Ireland when I get one sentence out, great for picking up chicks!
They always look so suprised to hear a irish accent lol

Hey Will you know you can skip the masters and go do a PhD if your fourth year grades and project are really really good by the way! I'm sneakily doing it by being chummy chummy with the lecturers in charge of deciding who gets to go! :D

p.s your right, the football sucks ;)
especially aberdeens! lose every match!

Yeah I know I can go do a PHD straight off but I don't feel ready for it.
Thanks for the advise. :o

Personally I never thought a Chinese born in Ireland can really get an Irish accent, well maybe in Dublin I guess,
When I speak people always ask me which part of America I am from!! :?

I think that is wierd cause it definitely ain't a from the USA, never been there either, I think its more Canadian!!!!! 8)

Scottish Accents rule.
Love what Mel Gibson does to it in Braveheart.
Hate Ally McCoist (ex football player now pundit on ITV) accent though, really irritates the crap out of me. :x

Yeah Aberdeen Football isn't the greatest.
They use to be good, before I was born though........
